Today I bring you a tidbit from Talbot’s Ploy, an ARe Best Seller. My Blog-o-rama Tour of Decadence™ is still going on to win a copy!
“I should have never listened to you.” Maxime shook a finger at his friend. “At least Monsieur Beaumont will not have time to reload his pistol before we jump out the window.”
Another gunshot rang out and the two rakes gaped at the sizeable hole mere inches from their position.
Talbot winced. “Perhaps I should have mentioned Monsieur Beaumont owns several pistols to ward off men such as we.”
